Many people associate steroid use with athletes and competitive bodybuilders, however the majority of users are not. Most users take steroids to either enhance their performance or enhance their personal appearance. Most steroid users take the drugs as a shortcut to become leaner, more muscular, and generally look better.

Some of the common side effects are:

Rapid muscle/weight gain

Enlarged Breast (in men)

Paranoia

THE DANGERS OF ANABOLIC STEROIDS

Many who do use anabolic steroids will use them in cycles. They go on and off to avoid negative side effects from the drugs. But despite these “off” cycles, there are still long-term risks from steroid use.

Steroid use has been linked to liver cancer, kidney disease, high blood pressure, strokes and heart attacks. Injecting anabolic steroids also increases the risk of contracting blood-borne diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B and C.

Yellow eyes and skin

Nausea

Abdominal Pain

Baldness

Increased Cancer Risk

Kidney Disease

Mood Swings

Irritability and Agression

Depression and Suicidal Tendencies

High Blood Pressure

Please don’t risk putting your body through all this. If you find your current PT or others are trying to talk you into this, they are clearly either not fully qualified and don’t understand the risks, or don’t care about the long-term effects this could be having on you…their client.
