Today is world mental health day with an emphasis on suicide prevention this year.
The day was marked in 1992 as pat of an initiative of the world federation for mental health. Mental Health is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.
Men are 3 times more likely to take their own lives than women. Anyone at any point can suffer from mental health, and it is nothing to be ashamed of.
We all need to start talking about our mental health, and we can all do our bit to help save lives. Remember there is always someone to talk to, and you are never alone eventhough at times you may feel that way.
There are a number of FREE helplines to, if you would rather speak to someone who you are not as close to.
