Strength training is one of the best things you can do for your body. It is a key part of any fitness plan.

You can use free weights, resistance bands, or your own body weight to build muscle.

Don’t work the same muscle groups 2 days in a row. Give your muscles a chance to recover and get stronger.

Always warm-up before you exercise. When you finnish training, do a series of stretching, holding each stretch for 30 to 60 seconds.

Benefits for people with diebetes:

  • Respond better to insulin
  • Improve the way it uses blood sugar
  • Loose weight
  • Lower your risk for heart disease

IF YOU ARE NOT ACTIVE NOW, CHECK IN WITH YOUR GP FIRST TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE.
